Scott is a working artist, farmer and observationist. A life long jack of many trades he has worked in a variety of mediums over the past 15 years. From traditional lithography to readymade multimedia collage. He finds the same joy in working on his land as he finds in working in the arts. Since 2014 he has been splitting time bewteen fine art and farming.

Born in 1987, Scott has always been amazed by the ocean; finding humility and respecting it as the dominant force on our planet. This respect for nature and a desire to become immersed in it has lead the artist on ventures to remote islands in the Southwestern North Atlantic and Indian Oceans, the high desert of the American West, a boat toting roadtrip from Johanesberg through Zimbabwe to launch and spend time on Lake Cohora Bassa in Mozambique-- constantly observing nature, mankind included.

The tension between mankind and nature—mankind included, has become the sublime. The ocean still rages both on the surface and on the sea floor.

“Look at it out there, battering, crawling up and down. And underneath all that, the

fish, the poor fish fighting each other, eating each other. We're like those fish, only we're up here.”

—Charles Bukowski
